Photos and face search
This notice explains how photos shared at photos.theconcoursclub.com are used, including the face search that helps guests find the photos they appear in.
What we collect
The photos guests share to an event gallery. We remove location and camera details from every photo before it is shown.
For face search, a numerical description of each face in those photos (a face template). Templates are kept for each event separately and are never compared across events.
Selfies taken with Find my photos are compared with that event's faces and then discarded. We don't save them.
You don't need an account to browse or share. We set a cookie on your device so your favorites and uploads are remembered.
How face search works
Faces are detected and matched by Amazon Rekognition, a service from Amazon Web Services that processes images on our behalf. The Club has opted out of Amazon using these images to improve its own services.
Matching is automatic and can be wrong. If a photo appears under the wrong person, please let us know.
Who can see photos
Anyone with an event's link, or its password when the host sets one. Galleries are not listed in search engines.
How long we keep them
Photos and face data are kept until the Club deletes the event gallery.
Your choices
Remove yourself from face search at any time: open the event, choose Find my photos, then Remove me from face search.
